Songbirds

Songbirds is card game where the players are forest spirits, guiding their chosen bird to score as many points as possible. Each bird is a different colour in the game.
Cards are numbered 1 to 7 in red, blue, green, and white. The players lay a card from their hand into a 5x5 grid after berry tokens are laid out for each row and column.
Players are dealt an initial hand; each turn they will place the card next to an existing card until the grid is full.
When the grid is full of cards, the rows and columns are totalled. The colour with the highest total in a line takes the token for that bird. If there is a tie in points that colour is ignored, so a low value card can win the token for that bird.
The players reveal their final hand card when the tokens are totalled. That card is the bird they favoured (so more than one player might be helping the same bird), and for each player, the number on the card is added to the total to identify who has the dominant bird.
