Unusual Suspects

In Unusual Suspects, one player is the Witness to a crime and all the other players are the group of Investigators. The Witness knows the true identity of the perpetrator and is trying to communicate this to the rest of the team. The catch is that the team can only ask personality based questions and the Witness can only answer yes or no.

"Do they live with their parents?"

"Do they have a gym membership?"

"Are they married?"

In each round, a grid of 12 caricatures will be laid out on the table. The witness is given a card that indicates which of the 12 random characters is the true criminal. Each player then takes a turn to select a question from a stack of question cards and ask the witness if the criminal fits the description. The Witness answers yes or no and as a result of the answer, the team decides which characters should be eliminated from the potential suspects. If they ever eliminate the criminal, then the team loses - if the criminal is the last once standing then the investigators have succeeded.

If you play competitively, then time is of the essence, you want to eliminate suspects as quickly as you can. On the other hand, you can just play for the fun! The table talk alone is priceless.

Unusual Suspects is the perfect game for parties with a group of friends. If you use the questions in the box, then things might get a little judgemental, but that's half the fun!
